Can I book Merchants House & The Booty?

Yes, it is possible to book both properties together. You can do so, via our website booking pages or by contacting one of the team : info@merchantshousesalcombe.co.uk

Are the properties accessible for wheelchair users?

Unfortunately the properties and the gardens are not suitable for wheelchair users.

Do you have an electric car charging point?

Yes. We have a type 2 universal car charing point at the property. Guest must use their own charging cables. Please note that this must be booked in advance and costs £0.40per kwh (correct as of 11th March 2023).

Do you have a cot/high chair?

Yes to both. We ask guests to bring their own cot linen. Or we can arrange linen to be hired locally in Salcombe, charges apply.

Do you have any in-house caterers?

We work closely with local chefs who supply our guests with a wide ranging food options. For example, you may wish to have picnic brought to you on the beach, or a meal prepared and ready to go in the oven, or even a 3 course meal with staff to serve and clean up afterwards. How long are credit notes valid for?

All of our credit notes are valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Please note that a credit note does not guarantee the same number of nights as prices vary. Credit notes are not exchangeable for a monetary value.

Can you point guests in the right direction for sailing lesson, rib rides, boats trips etc?

As part of our welcome guide we include contact details for a number of local operators in Salcombe and surrounding areas.

Are you pet friendly?

Yes, guests are permitted to bring a small hypoallergenic dog in The Booty.

With the exception of guide dogs/assistance animals we do not allow pets in Merchants House.

How far is the main town centre?

Less than a 5 minute walk to Fore St with its' shops and the Salcombe Harbour Authority at Whitestrands.

Is it steep walk to the property?

The property is located at the lower end of Devon Road and therefore it is an easy walk to and from town. Salcombe is located on a hill side and whilst our property is very conveniently located, guests will still need to navigate a short uphill walk and a few steps on arrival at the property.
